Why a
Foundation is Needed?
Crisis centers, spousal abuse and rape are never mentioned in political debates. It's not
an issue for which politicians are elected.
Worse, governmental budgets and priorities lead officials to make
decisions that make matters worse. In the last two years, the state of Georgia closed
eight (8) crisis centers. In 2007, the city of Duluth decided that a parking lot was more
important than a crisis center that serves seven (7) counties.
The problem has not gone away. The awful statistics aren't improving,
but our governments are continually reducing the availability of the resources victims
need. For the victim's sakes, we must stop the elimination of facilities, and since the
government won't do it, we must.
Our foundation is here to do what our governments won't do .. help the
victims .. and, stop the cycle of violence that infects too much of humanity.
